by HiRez ESports | Jun 20, 2014
Only 4 more weeks to go here in the SWC Qualifiers and there is a lot of room for teams to make their way through the rankings and squeeze themselves into the top 4 spots.  Taking into considerations how everyones been performing we are proud to bring you Week 7's predictions:

Current Standings:

Predictions:
                                    North America
Team Dignitas - It would appear the Smite throne is black and yellow.  Team Dignitas remains the number 1 seed in the Smite World Championship Qualifier Series.  120 seed points separate Team Dignitas and Cognitive Gaming.  Zapman's stellar performance in the past few tournaments has shown the world how important being able to lift translates to the hunter role.  We place them 1st in this week's predictions.

Cognitive Gaming - With 200 points over 3rd seed Snipe, Cognitive has their eyes set on taking the throne from Team Dignitas.  They've been neck and neck with Dignitas, but late game team fights prove to be troublesome for Cognitive Gaming. They land a solid 2nd place in this week's prediction article.

Snipe - A solid win last week secures the 3rd place prediction spot for snipe in this week's tournament.  CognitiveRED (formerly The Game Changers) are nipping at the heels of Snipe for the 3rd place seed points.  Snipe needs to ensure a 3rd place or higher win from now on to ensure CognitiveRED is not able to close the gap.

                                       Europe
Cloud 9 - The Eurpean region continues to be a whirlpool of competitions.  Last week's loss to Agilitas reinforces that every top European team can beat one another.  C9 remains top seed in the European region with Team SoloMid trailing them by 45 points.  Cloud 9 remains strong in the face of competition and thus has our pick for top dog this week.

Team SoloMid - They've been in a bit of a slump recently, but Team SoloMid remains a commanding force in the European region.  They remain the 2nd seed by 113 points over Worth Gaming.  Team SoloMid hasn't been in the top two since week 3 of the Smite World Championship Qualifiers, but we feel this week is their time to shine in 2nd place.

IIIII - Team IIIII put up a valiant effort in the bronze match against Team SoloMid last week.  THey've been a consistent team in Europe and remain one of the top contenders.  Worth Gaming claims the 3rd place seed by 80 points, but with a few more wins IIIII can close the gap.  We place them 3rd in our predictions in our predictions for the week 7 of the Smite World Qualifier tournament.

                                Final Verdict
The qualifier series looks to be an incredibly exciting time for both competitive teams and Smite fans.  As the competitive scene grows and teams mature we will see more diverse standings.  In the off season we saw a plethora of roster changes, new formed teams, and new strategies from the banning system.  This qualifying season is shaping up to be the most exciting tournament series in Smite history.
