Path to $100k Tournament: Week 1 of 8 Recap

by HiRez ESports | Jan 07, 2014

This past Saturday and Sunday we saw the 1st week of competition for the $100k SMITE Tournament Series. And if you had the chance to view a few of the games, you have to admit - these were hype! Those of you that may have missed these games, you can currently catch the VODs on our SmiteGame Twitch channel: North America and Europe. In the future, we will be uploading, at the very least, the finals of each week on our SmitePro Youtube.

Each week I plan to post the points each team earned the previous weekend as well as the overall standings per region. In the overall standings, I will also show how many places a team went up or down in the rankings. Remember, the top 4 teams of each region at the end of the 8th week will be invited and flown to Atlanta, Georgia for the battle of $100k. I promise you - more information on this event will be given to you later this week :)

I realize the two tables in each region are a bit redundant, but that's only this week since it's the 1st week of competition. This will be the format I'll be using for the next 7 weeks. Sadly, it's the best I can do for you guys with the Reddit restrictions and formatting :(

Congratulations to all the teams last week earning points and a big thank you to all the teams that signed up to take part of this event. I hope to see you all AND MORE next week. We saw the most teams in one tournament in North America this past week. We also saw the most concurrent viewers during a weekend tournament capping out with over 7k concurrent viewers.

We still have some exciting things to go along with the weekend tournaments in the very near future, so we hope you continue to join us each Saturday and Sunday - whether it's participating or watching. And as always, I'm open to any feedback, comments, complaints and yes - even compliments. Email - HiRezAPC@HiRezStudios.com
