What our 2D Animation Interns do:

  • Deliver high quality 2D animations in various styles for short form animation.
  • Producing 2D effects and character animation.
  • Demonstrates strong understanding of animation principles and production art pipeline.
  • What we are looking for:

  • Accept feedback from Animation Lead and other Team Members.

  • Design and architect systems and tools across multiple games for the audio team’s needs (such as occlusion, streaming, performance, etc.).
  • Work closely with the audio team to support them in the usage of these systems and tools.

  • Implement bug fixes using both Unreal Engine 3 and Unreal Engine 4.

  • Coordinate technical knowledge and the exchange of resources across the development team.
  • Facilitate an environment of collaboration, encouraging the use of technologies developed for the betterment of Hi-Rez Studios and the development team.
  • Act as a first point of contact, outreach, and technical due-diligence for outsourced technical resources, our internal platform team, and vendors.
  • Act as a liaison between Senior Management and studio-level technical management to promote understanding, communication, and direction.
  • Foster communication between technical leaders to ensure the creation quality software.
  • Manage & mentor the development team’s technical, QA, and production leads as they create scalable, available, and reliable products.
  • Collaborate with the discipline leads and cross-studio staff to create and manage the development schedule

  • Who we are looking for:

  • Must have at least 5 years of programming experience on a multiplayer or online, console and PC development
  • Must have held a production or leadership position during the launch of a console or PC game
  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience
  • Deep understanding of game engine technology (familiarity with UE4) across PC, and console systems
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to relate complex technical concepts to business leaders
  • Capacity for mentoring and building connections between experienced technical leads
  • Deep understanding of the content creation pipeline for a AAA game or engine

  • Strong grasp of composition, color theory, value, form, scale, shape language, and silhouette.
