At Hi-Rez we believe that there is no limit to what we are able to accomplish when we have the passion and drive to make a positive impact. While our mission has always been to make great games, we also realize that we carry a social responsibility to invest in our local communities in meaningful ways. We take that responsibility seriously & we work hard to foster partnerships with organizations making a difference & create opportunities for our Hi-Rez family to contribute to the causes that are important to them.
We believe that the video game industry has the passion and potential to make a marked difference and we are committed to continue to be a driving force for good in our local communities and around the world.
We had the opportunity to host a 24 hour Charity Stream with Extra Life to raise funds for Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta -- we were able to raise almost $30k in 1 day!
We partnered with Atlanta Mission -- a local organization committed to combating homelessness -- for a clothing drive.
We partner with American Red Cross each year for their Map-a-thon event to digitally connect and map the most vulnerable places in the developing world.
We had the opportunity to volunteer with FurKids Animal Shelter to help with a wide range of day to day activities that included playing with the doggos!
We participate in a canned food drive with Atlanta Community Food Bank every November and participate in The Big Thank You with The Bert Show (popular radio station) to send letters to our veterans.
We partner with Toys for Tots yearly to bring holiday cheer to children in need in our local communities.
We partner with the St. Baldrick’s Foundation each year to help find cures for children with cancer raising over $4,000 at our last event with the St. Baldrick’s Foundation.
We were able to donate computers to help kids in our community with The Boys & Girls Club of Atlanta.
Established a corporate partnership with Girls Make Games in 2021 and donated $5,000 to the organization. In addition, we partnered with GMG during International Women’s Day and participated in a panel with girls aged 14-18 on getting into the games industry.
Over the years we’ve had the pleasure of working extensively with Make-A-Wish GA.
We have a corporate sponsorship with Child’s Play and have surpassed $1M in donations to Child’s Play Charity.
We’ve implemented our Going Green Initiative at Hi-Rez Studios with a goal to reduce our carbon footprint.
We encouraged our employees to walk 54 miles (87 km) in honor of the historic 1965 Civil Right March from Selma to Montgomery, AL. We matched every mile walked with a $5 contribution to charity (50% of the proceeds going to the Southern Center for Human Rights & the remaining 50% going to the King Center).
We have donated a total of $5k to Stop AAPI Hate to assist with their mission to track incidents of hate and discrimination against Asian Americans and Pacific Islanders in the United States.
Participated with RISE -- an independent, Brighton, UK based registered charity that helps victims of domestic abuse -- by donating funds on International Women’s Day.
We celebrate the women of Hi-Rez annually by holding IWD celebrations in-studio that are open to all women.
We teamed up with GamesAid & sponsored GamesAid’s Gamescom to Brighton Bike Ride. Additionally, we have donated branded merchandise for GamesAid events.
In collaboration with The Reboot Project and Restart, we donated old laptops and computers to schools to help bridge the digital divide.
We have an on-going relationship with The Clock Tower sanctuary and donate to their cause frequently.The Clock Tower Sanctuary is a Brighton-based centre which provides vital practical and emotional support so that young people who are homeless can move from crisis to stability.
We’ve donated 1.5K GBP to help Special Effect in their mission to help give people with physical disabilities across the world access to video games.
